About the Institute

B.L.M. College of Pharmacy is situated in serene confines of Rajota village, amidst the mountain surrounded picturesque landscape of Khetri, Neem-Ka-Thana District, Rajasthan. Established in 2019, this institution stands as a testament to dedication and academic excellence. The Institution is approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi and affiliated to the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (Government of Rajasthan).

Diploma in Pharmacy

Overview

D.Pharmacy is a two year full-time diploma Program intended to equip candidates to work as a registered pharmacist in hospitals, private and Govt sectors, retail / community pharmacies, pharmaceutical industries and other pharmaceutical related fields.

Eligibility for admission to D.Pharm programme

(A pass in any one of the following Examination)

HSC (+2) Examination or equivalent with the following group of subjects  

Stream1: (PCM): Physics, Chemistry and Maths

Stream 2. (PCB): Physics, Chemistry and Biology

The candidate must have completed 17 years of age or above.

The students should undergo practical training in a pharmacy medical store) for not less than 500 hours spread over a period of 3 months.  (The aim of practical training is to give students hands-on, supervised practice in the important tasks taught in their courses. This training thoroughly readies students with the skills and qualifications they'll need for future career opportunities.)

Field visit:

  • As a part of their curriculum, every year, we arrangement made to take the students in groups to a medicinal garden to witness and understand the nature of various medicinal plants discussed in theory and practical courses of Pharmacognosy.
  • The students are taken for an industrial visit to pharmaceutical industries to witness and understand the various processes of manufacturing of any of the common dosage forms viz. tablets, capsules, liquid orals, injectables, etc. Individual reports from each student on their learning experience from the field visit shall be submitted.
  • The students are taken in groups to visit any THREE of the following facilities to witness and understand the activities of such centres/facilities from the perspectives of the topics discussed in theory and/or practical courses. Individual reports from each student on their learning experience from the field visits shall be submitted. 
    • Garbage Treatment Plant
    • Sewage Treatment Plant
    • Bio-medical Waste Treatment Plant
    • Effluent Treatment Plant
    • Water purification plant
    • Orphanage / Elderly-Care-Home / School and or Hostel/Home for persons with disabilities
    • Primary health care centre

Upon finishing the Diploma in Pharmacy at BLM College of Pharmacy, Students will gain professional skills such as:

Higher studies

Candidates opting for higher studies can join B. Pharmacy Programme directly in to the second year as lateral entry.
